Please join the United Nations Association of the USA, Sacramento and Davis chapters, for our VIRTUAL celebration to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the United Nations! We will honor the occasion by debuting a short documentary about David Lubin, a Sacramentan whose historic contributions to the world are largely unknown, although the concept of the League of Nations, the predecessor of the United Nations, originated with him (rather than with Woodrow Wilson).
Lubin’s focus on international cooperation to solve global issues was a radical idea at the beginning of the last century, but his ideas live on and continue to remind us that we are stronger together and that nations must collaborate to find common solutions.
Our video presentation will be followed by a live Q & A with Morton Satin, a retired Senior Food Executive with the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization and current Board member of UNA Sacramento. Satin is the world’s foremost expert on David Lubin. We hope you will join us for this FREE online event.
